Elizabeth and Ruby were talking about jail, and Ruby said
what if you had a baby in jail? Mom said
that maybe they would take the baby away.
“I wish Pippi Longstocking were alive and had a hammer and
would fly around the world like Frau Diane’s sister and knock down all the
jails.”
